Scheduled core and plugin updates, off-site backups, security checks and small content edits — the boring work that keeps a site usable.
Sites fail in ordinary ways: a plugin update breaks a form, a backup was never tested, or a phone number stays wrong for a month. This service provides regular care so you don’t have to worry about the plumbing.
Who this is for
You have a live WordPress site and want a named person to update it, verify that forms deliver, and make content edits within an agreed scope. We inspect existing sites before agreeing to maintain them.
Deliverables
- Updates run after a verified staging backup, not before.
- Tested off-site backup restores. A backup nobody has restored is a file, not a backup.
- Monitoring for unrecognised admin users, outdated plugins and PHP errors in the log.
- Quick edits: text, images, prices, operational hours.
- Investigation when a form stops delivering or the site goes down.
Client must send
- Hosting and WordPress admin credentials.
- One named person who approves changes before we touch anything.
Not promised
- We will not tell you a website is 100% immune to every zero-day vulnerability.
- We will tell you what we hardened, how fast we respond, and that your restore plan works.
What you receive
A short note after each maintenance visit: what was updated, what was edited, and anything that still needs a decision from you. If a backup failed, you hear that. We do not send a green dashboard graphic as a substitute for the note.
Closing note
Select maintenance and paste the site address. Say whether you already have a backup.
Questions owners ask before hiring
Short answers here, in the order they usually arrive. Same six answers appear on /faq/ with schema, so there is no duplicated content, only a summary block that links down to the full page.
01 How do I choose between WooCommerce and Shopify?
If you want the blog, the articles and the products in one WordPress admin, and you would rather not give away a percentage of your sales every month, WooCommerce suits you. If you would prefer somebody else to run hosting, security and checkout while you focus purely on selling, Shopify is the easier road.
02 Will I be able to edit products, prices and text without a developer?
Yes. Native blocks and the normal dashboards, plus handover notes written for someone who has not opened WordPress before.
03 Do you build with Elementor or custom lightweight themes?
Both, and it is your call. A lightweight block theme is the better bet when mobile speed matters. Elementor suits teams that want to drag things around themselves.
04 How are payment gateways configured?
Your merchant account stays yours. We connect the API keys, set up webhooks, and run end-to-end sandbox transactions on every method. Card numbers never sit on your server. Approval of the account itself is the provider's decision.
05 What should I prepare before starting?
A plain description of what you sell, who buys it, what you want a visitor to do, and your brand and product files. Host and admin logins can come later.
06 What happens after launch?
A monthly maintenance plan covers updates, backups and security. Without a retainer you still get every credential and the handover guide. Nothing is held back as leverage.
